Riding for the Disabled Association Annual Charity Ball 2020 was successfully held on the 10th Jan 2020 at Grand Hyatt, Hong Kong. This year, nearly 300 honorable guests, community partners and avid supporters of RDA gathered to support this major fundraising event. The guest of honor this year was The Honorable Mrs. Lam Cheng Yuet-Ngor, GBM, GBS, The Chief Executive of HKSAR. Other guests included Professor Sophia Chan Siu Chee, JP, Secretary for Food and Health, Mr. Law Chi Kong, Joshua, GBS, JP, Secretary for the Civil Service together with President of RDA & Chairman of HKJC Dr. Anthony Chow Wing Kin, SBS, JP, Chairman of RDA Mr. Thomas Yeung, Mr. Tung Moon Fai and Mrs. Rusy M Shroff, etc.
Before the banquet officially began, Dr. Anthony WK Chow, SBS, JP, extended a warm welcome to all the guests, briefly introducing RDA’s mission and services. Over the past 44 years, RDA has actively been promoting rehabilitative riding to the disabled community to help build their self-confidence, balance and co-ordination. This provision complements the Government’s rehabilitation programmes.
The highlight of the evening was the marvelous charity singing by celebrity singers: Dr. Anthony Wing Kin Chow, SBS, JP and Mr. Thomas Yeung. The excellent performance made the night wonderful. We are looking forward RDA might arouse the public awareness and encouragement to disabled community always.
